Pullman Auckland Hotel & Apartments rises above the eastern edge of the Auckland CBD on Waterloo Quadrant, a five-star landmark that balances business and leisure in equal measure. The 321-room hotel — which includes premium residence apartments with living areas and kitchen facilities — is finished in gilded tones of brass and copper offset by natural textures and plush furnishings, and is known for consistent, professional service and sweeping city-to-sea views.
For meetings and events, it is one of the more capable hotels in the city, with 16 dynamic meeting and event spaces alongside a lobby lounge and restaurant. The residence wing's apartments suit extended executive stays and families in residence, while the Executive Lounge serves premium tea blends, fine wines and chef's canapés during happy hour.
Dining centres on Tapestry Grill & Bar, open for breakfast and dinner with contemporary classics given a worldly spin, and the adjoining Tapestry Bar & Terrace for cocktails, local beer and wine. Recreation is well covered: a 25-metre indoor pool, Power Fitness facilities, and the Luxe Spa with aromatherapy treatments, a sauna and a steam room. The hotel sits a short walk from Spark Arena, Auckland Domain and Albert Park, and within easy reach of the wider CBD.
A landmark with a long history. The building first opened in 1968 as the InterContinental, one of Auckland's first international-standard hotels, on the corner of Waterloo Quadrant and Princes Street near Albert Park. It operated for many years as the Hyatt Regency Auckland, establishing itself as a premier corporate and large-event address, before Accor acquired and relaunched it as the Pullman Auckland Hotel & Residences in 2011 — following the addition of its adjoining residences tower in 2003 — and it has since undergone extensive modern refurbishments. A separate property, Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport, opened in December 2023.
For conference and event organisers, the combination of a central location, a large room inventory, 16 event spaces and full leisure facilities makes Pullman Auckland a strong choice for residential conferences, board meetings and incentive stays in the heart of the city.
