TET Stadium & Events Centre is a multi-purpose sports and events facility in Inglewood, centrally located in Taranaki and about 15 minutes from New Plymouth. It is managed by the Taranaki Community Stadium Trust with support from the Taranaki Electricity Trust (TET), and combines a competition-grade athletics venue with flexible indoor function spaces.
The complex is built around a main field encircled by an all-weather Mondo athletics track, reported to be New Zealand's first Olympic-class Mondo track. A covered grandstand seats around 1,000 spectators, with four large changing rooms on the opposite side. Upstairs in the pavilion, a balcony overlooks the arena alongside a bar, kitchen and conference facilities.
The centre offers several versatile function spaces, the Dining Room, the Lounge, the Meeting Room and the full Event Centre, suited to events from around 5 to 400 people. The Lounge works well for larger meetings and conferences, with tables and chairs, a sound system and a projector, and seating for up to about 200. This flexibility makes the venue appropriate for conferences, exhibitions, community fundraisers, weddings and sporting events.
Its central Taranaki location, on-site parking and combination of indoor and track/field spaces make TET Stadium & Events Centre a practical option for regional meetings, incentives and events. See more New Plymouth venues.
