About The Apothecary

The Apothecary is a French-inspired café, bar and eatery at 27–29 Picton Street in Howick, eastern Auckland. Its interior is built around an original 1950s apothecary shopfit imported from Northern France, restored and repurposed to give the venue a distinctive vintage-pharmacy character within an otherwise contemporary dining fit-out.

The menu spans brunch through to dinner, taking in pasta, ribs, steaks and Asian-influenced dishes, with regular themed nights such as Wednesday rib specials, Saturday pasta deals and Friday bubbles. It sits within a small dining precinct alongside neighbouring restaurants Daisy Chang and Piggy.

The Apothecary hosts private functions and occasional events such as comedy nights and gin tastings, and sells gift vouchers. It is a licensed venue suited to informal group bookings in the Howick area rather than large-scale conference use.
