Trafalgar Lodge is at 46 Trafalgar Street, Nelson — about 200 metres from the city centre on Nelson's main street. The property comprises a motel complex alongside a separate older lodge building, with named rooms such as the Bronte Room.
Its position is central. The site is next to Trafalgar Park and adjoining sports grounds, and is an easy walk to the Trafalgar Centre, Nelson's main indoor events and sports venue, as well as to the city's restaurants and visitor information centre.
The lodge's own website now presents the property as short-let stays and rental accommodation only, and states that it is not WINZ registered. Enquiries and bookings are handled directly by management by phone or email rather than through an online booking engine. No conference or meeting facilities are advertised, and the site does not publish a current unit count, tariff schedule or facilities list.
With no meeting space and a short-let rental model, Trafalgar Lodge is not a conference venue. Its potential MICE use is as budget-conscious accommodation for longer stays — for example crews, contractors or delegates needing several nights close to the Trafalgar Centre and central Nelson without a car. Organisers should confirm current availability, room configurations and minimum stay terms directly with management, as the publicly available information is limited.
