Wellington Zoo

Wellington Zoo is a charitable trust zoo at 200 Daniell Street, Newtown, Wellington. It is open 364 days a year, from 9:30am to 5pm.

The zoo states it is the world's first carboNZero certified zoo. It is a member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association Australasia and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and holds a Qualmark Gold award. Visitor programmes include close animal encounters, VR experiences, learning programmes, holiday programmes and zoo sleepovers.
