The Pines Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course at 750 Whangārei Heads Road, on the Whangārei Heads peninsula about 15 minutes from Whangārei city. The club was established in 1968 and the course is open to the public as well as to members.
### The course
The layout runs along the shores of Parua Bay, framed by Mount Manaia and Mount Aubrey — two of the most recognisable landforms on the Whangārei Heads coastline. It plays to a par of 71 over approximately 5,350 yards, which makes it a comfortable round for mixed-ability fields rather than a long championship test. The course is described as suited to all skill levels, which is the relevant point for corporate and incentive play where handicaps vary widely across a group.
### Facilities
On-site services include a putting green, pro shop, motorised and pull carts, golf club rental, club fitting, caddie hire, changing rooms and a restaurant. The presence of hire clubs and carts matters for visiting groups — delegates arriving without equipment can be outfitted on site.

The Pines works as a conference add-on round, an incentive activity or a partner-programme option for a Whangārei-based event.
