Aldous Harding brings Train on the Island to NZICC

MICE editorial — 22 October 2026 Auckland Tier B

Aldous Harding performs a live concert in Te Paepae Theatre at NZICC on Saturday 28 November 2026 on her Train on the Island Aotearoa tour, presented by Live Nation and 95bFM.

New Zealand singer-songwriter Aldous Harding brings her Train on the Island tour to Auckland on Saturday 28 November 2026, performing in Te Paepae Theatre at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC). The Auckland date is one of four Aotearoa shows presented by Live Nation and 95bFM, with general on-sale listed from Thursday 7 May.

About the artist

Aldous Harding is one of New Zealand's most acclaimed contemporary songwriters, known for a singular, closely watched live performance style. The tour celebrates her fifth studio album, Train On The Island, co-produced with John Parish at Rockfield Studios in Wales and released on 8 May 2026 via Flying Nun Records. The Aotearoa run also takes in Hamilton (BNZ Theatre, 25 November), Christchurch (Town Hall, 27 November) and Wellington (Michael Fowler Centre, 29 November).

The venue

NZICC sits in the Auckland CBD on Hobson Street, within walking distance of Queen Street, the Viaduct and SkyCity. The Aldous Harding show is staged in Te Paepae Theatre, located on Level 5 of the centre and reached by escalator and lifts. The central-city location puts the venue close to a dense cluster of CBD hotels and to public transport, including the Wellesley Street bus corridor and the City Rail Link stations serving the downtown area, making it straightforward to reach without a car.

Why it's on the NZICC calendar

A ticketed concert by a high-profile New Zealand musician sits alongside NZICC's conference and exhibition programme on the same published events calendar, showing the centre's theatre space being used for live entertainment as well as business events. Hosting a touring act of this profile points to the flexibility of the purpose-built venue's performance spaces within the wider convention centre.
