Alford Forest Hall is a rural community hall at 4941 Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road, Alford Forest, in the Ashburton District of mid-Canterbury — on the road out towards the Rakaia Gorge and the Mt Hutt foothills.
The hall has a capacity of 100 and includes a small stage. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, electric jug and a zip. There is a toilet inside and a mobility toilet outdoors. Heating is provided by a heat pump.
Outside there is a shaded area under trees, which is pleasant in a Canterbury summer.
Hall hire is by application only, with a bond required. The hall is administered by a local hall committee within the Ashburton District Council's network of community halls.
This is a small rural hall, not a conference facility. It suits community gatherings, workshops, rural field-day support space, club functions and staff social events for organisations working in the mid-Canterbury high country. Anything requiring AV, catering or breakout rooms will need to be brought in.
For serviced meeting facilities in the district, see Ashburton venues.
