Forsyth Barr Stadium is Dunedin's landmark multi-purpose arena and the only fully roofed natural-turf stadium in the southern hemisphere. Purpose-built as a highly versatile facility, it hosts sport, concerts, conferences and events year-round, managed by Dunedin Venues Management Ltd.
The stadium seats up to around 30,700 in full sports mode and can hold in excess of 36,000 for concerts, yet also scales down for events with guest lists from as few as 30 people. Its permanently covered pitch and enclosed environment allow events to run regardless of weather. For business events it offers plenary and exhibition space plus multiple break-out rooms, and is equipped to handle everything from intimate meetings to formal dinners for up to around 1,000 guests.
This flexibility makes Forsyth Barr Stadium suitable for conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, product launches and community events as well as major sport and entertainment.
