Great Lake Motel is at 56 Lake Terrace, on the lakefront and immediately opposite Lake Taupō. The motel has 15 self-contained units with a listed maximum capacity of 50 guests, and describes itself as the closest motel to the town centre — the shops, cafés and restaurants are roughly 100 metres away.
All units are serviced daily and include free fibre broadband WiFi, heat pumps and air conditioning, a 40-inch smart TV with Sky Sport channels, microwave, fridge and electric hob, dining area, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, electric blankets and a heated towel rail.

With 15 units and capacity for around 50 people, it can take a small block booking, and the walk-everywhere location means groups can reach town-centre venues without transport.
The town centre is about 100 metres away and the Taupō i-SITE roughly 600 metres. The Hole in One Challenge on the lakefront is about 20 metres from the door, and Taupō Airport is around 7km. Huka Falls, the Wairakei geothermal attractions and the Great Lake Trails are all within easy driving distance for delegate free time or team activities.
