Hotel on Devonport

Hotel on Devonport is a boutique hotel in the Devonport Towers building at 72 Devonport Road in downtown Tauranga. It is a short walk from the Tauranga Art Gallery, the waterfront and the city's shops and restaurants, and Mount Maunganui is about eight kilometres away. It suits corporate travellers, small leadership teams and visiting executives who want a central, business-focused base with a restaurant in the same building.

Rooms

The hotel has 42 rooms across five room types. Every room has a balcony looking over either the inner city or the upper harbour. Rooms include quality bedding, individually controlled air conditioning, a large work desk, a personal SKY TV decoder with more than 60 channels, and free unlimited high-speed WiFi, with wired internet also available. Guests have a 24-hour front desk, and there is a secure undercover car park (to be booked in advance, with EV charging spaces available).

Dining

The Tauranga Club restaurant and bar is on Level 5 of the building and has views over Tauranga Harbour. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekdays, and the hotel also offers dinner room service. At weekends the restaurant opens only for private functions booked in advance. The Tauranga Club takes group and function bookings.

Meetings and events

The hotel has a small selection of meeting rooms, each seating up to 10 people, and bookings are made through the front desk. For larger dinners or functions, The Tauranga Club can be booked for private events.

Suitability

Hotel on Devonport is best for board meetings, interviews, small workshops and executive visits of up to 10 people. It also works as accommodation for delegates attending larger events elsewhere in central Tauranga.
