Fable Dunedin is a heritage boutique hotel at 310 Princes Street in central Dunedin, within walking distance of the Octagon and around 30 minutes from Dunedin Airport. The building dates to 1862, originally constructed as the Wains Hotel, and has been reimagined as a hotel that blends Victorian architecture with contemporary design.
The hotel has 50 guest rooms plus 2 suites, spanning Classic, Superior and Luxury rooms alongside Junior, Wains and Mason suites.
Fable Dunedin offers four flexible meeting spaces. The largest, the Chancellor Room, holds up to 110 guests, and the property overall can accommodate seminars, conferences, product launches, weddings and gala dinners for up to 250 delegates, making it one of Dunedin's more capable dedicated event hotels.
The Press Club restaurant and bar serves locally sourced, organic produce with Southern flavours, runs high tea Wednesday to Sunday, and is noted for an extensive whisky menu. Valet parking is available.
Fable Dunedin was one of the first two properties to launch under the Fable Hotels & Resorts brand in 2020, created by New Zealand operator CPG Hotels, which also runs hotels in Auckland, Christchurch and at Terrace Downs in Canterbury.
With four meeting spaces and capacity for up to 250 delegates in a central, heritage setting, Fable Dunedin suits conferences, seminars and gala events in Dunedin.
