Methven Resort

Methven Resort is a hotel in Mt Hutt Village, Methven, in the Ashburton district of Mid Canterbury. Built in 1985 as a tilt-slab construction over three levels, it is one of the town's longer-established hotels and is positioned as Methven's largest conference venue.

The resort has 45 rooms, ranging from studio to family configurations, all with ensuite bathrooms. On-site facilities include ski and mountain-bike storage and drying rooms, a guest laundry, and Patrons Bar & Restaurant, which serves guests through both the ski and summer seasons. The hotel is managed by Capstone Hotel Management as part of its New Zealand portfolio.

For meetings and events, the resort offers roughly 400 square metres of conference space across three meeting rooms, with capacity reported at up to around 250 guests depending on layout. The main conference room has natural light and views toward Mt Hutt. Combined with on-site catering and accommodation, the venue is set up for conferences, seminars, trade shows, banquets and private functions without needing to bus delegates elsewhere for overnight stays.
