Novotel & Ibis Auckland Ellerslie is a co-located pair of hotels sharing a single complex adjacent to Ellerslie Racecourse and Event Centre, just off the Greenlane motorway interchange. It is around 15 minutes' drive from the Auckland CBD and about 20 minutes from Auckland Airport. The 4.5-star Novotel and the adjoining 3.5-star ibis operate under separate brands but share the same conference facilities, restaurant and bar, giving guests access to the services of both properties regardless of which one they book. Between them the complex totals 247 rooms, split between Novotel's Superior and Executive rooms and a Junior Suite, and ibis's more budget-oriented Standard and Ibusiness rooms.

This mix of one large plenary space and several breakout rooms suits mid-sized residential conferences, training sessions and seminars.

Dining is centred on the shared Acacia Restaurant, serving a buffet breakfast daily plus lunch and dinner buffets and an à la carte dinner menu, and Acacia Bar, which opens onto a garden and is popular for sporting broadcasts. Both hotels have access to a fitness centre; neither has a swimming pool. Self-parking is available on-site, though it is more limited at the ibis side of the complex.
