The Village Resort is an apartment-style resort at 82 Lake Terrace, Taupō, directly across the road from Lake Taupō and about 500 metres from the town centre. Taupō Airport is around 6.8 km away. Of the Taupō motel-class properties, it is one of the few with a purpose-fitted conference room, which makes it directly relevant to small meetings and work retreats as well as leisure stays.

Accommodation is a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, plus an accessible one-bedroom suite. Apartments are air-conditioned and self-contained, with fully equipped kitchens including ovens and dishwashers, full laundry facilities with washing machine and dryer, a lounge and dining area, private bathroom, free high-speed WiFi and Sky TV with 30-plus channels. One important accessibility note: the resort advertises disabled access accommodation and an accessible one-bedroom suite, but the conference room itself is stated as not wheelchair accessible. Planners with accessibility requirements should raise this at the enquiry stage.
