SKYCITY Hotel

SKYCITY Hotel is a four-star-plus, Qualmark-rated hotel on the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets, forming part of the wider SkyCity Auckland entertainment complex in the CBD. It is the original hotel of the precinct, opened on 2 February 1996 alongside SkyCity's casino at the base of the Sky Tower (which itself opened in August 1997). This property's record shows 344 rooms; independent listings describe these as including suites and family suites, each with a private bathroom, mini-bar, satellite television and 24-hour room service, with courtyard or city-skyline outlooks.

SKYCITY Hotel guests draw on conference and leisure facilities located on Level 7 of the adjoining Grand by SkyCity tower, immediately across Federal Street. That shared events space comprises three main function rooms able to host up to 350 guests, suitable for meetings, residential conferences, cocktail functions, and seated breakfasts, lunches or dinners, alongside further meeting rooms for smaller table-style layouts. The Terrace, the shared breakfast restaurant on Level 7 of The Grand, also serves SKYCITY Hotel guests.

Wellness & Dining

Guests can use a shared spa and fitness facility offering a 24-hour gym, heated indoor pool, sauna, and beauty and massage treatments, as well as East Day Spa within the SkyCity precinct. Beyond its own on-site restaurant, SKYCITY Hotel guests have direct access to the wider SkyCity complex's roster of more than a dozen restaurants, bars and cafes, plus the Sky Tower and the 700-seat SkyCity Theatre.

The hotel sits within the SkyCity precinct in the Auckland CBD, close to the Viaduct Harbour, and the precinct is now connected to the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), which officially opened in February 2026.
